Abstract: There are a number of different technologies and strategies that you can consider using for user/customer authentication when you are building XRM portals. Shan will discuss how to use standard ASP.NET membership and role providers while still associating your web users with contacts in the CRM. Shan will also cover Live ID and discuss when you might want to consider using Live ID versus another membership provider in your site.

Shan will also discuss various strategies you might want to consider for provisioning your user accounts, including pre-provisioning strategies, invitation models, and email verification mechanisms
